A woman is in the hospital with burns after a house fire Tuesday night on the Northwest Side. The San Antonio Fire Department says a man drove his car into the garage at the home on Ferris Creek around 7 p.m. and ran into the water heater, triggering an explosion that set fire to the house. A woman inside the home suffered burns to her hands, torso and face. She was hospitalized in unknown condition. The man escaped injury, but the house is reportedly a total loss.
