One of the top high school hooper's in the country is announcing where he will play his college ball. Five-star guard Tre Johnson announced his commitment to Texas on Wednesday. ESPN's fourth-ranked recruit chose the Longhorns over Baylor after the two in-state rivals battled for the impressive playmaker. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard currently plays at Link Academy in Missouri. Johnson is the highest-ranked recruit to choose Texas since Dillon Mitchell in the 2022 Class. He joins other Top 100 recruits Cameron Scott and Nic Codie in the Longhorns' 2024 class.
