San Antonio police are looking for a shoplifting suspect who reportedly shot a loss prevention officer at North Star Mall on Tuesday night. Officers responded around 8 p.m. to the reported shooting at Macy's on San Pedro Avenue at Northwest Loop 410. Investigators say a man and a woman were trying to shoplift when the loss prevention officer confronted them at an entrance of the store. The man reportedly shot the officer in the leg and ran away. The officer was hospitalized in stable condition. The suspect is at large.
