The Texas Rangers are just two wins away from their first ever World Series title. Texas defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 in Game Three of the World Series in Phoenix. Corey Seager smashed a two-run home run in the third inning after Marcus Semien plated a run earlier in the frame. Jon Gray earned the win in relief for the Rangers, who now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Rookie Brandon Pfaadt was charged the loss after giving up three runs over five-and-a-third frames. Geraldo Perdomo plated the lone run for Arizona, which was limited to just six hits in the loss.
The teams will meet for Game Four on Tuesday night in Phoenix.
