Diamondbacks Beat Rangers; Even World Series At 1-1

The World Series is tied at one game apiece after the Diamondbacks blew out the Rangers 9-1 in Game Two at Globe Life Field.

Merrill Kelly picked up his third postseason victory after striking out nine batters, and allowing one run on three hits over seven innings pitched. Gabriel Moreno broke a scoreless tie with a solo home run in the top of the fourth. Ketel Marte broke the record for the longest postseason hitting streak with a two-run single in the top of the eighth. Luis Frias recorded the final two outs to secure Arizona's first win in a World Series game since 2001.

Jordan Montgomery was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings. Mitch Garver slugged a solo shot to provide the only run of the game for Texas.

The World Series will shift to Phoenix for Game Three Monday night at Chase Field.
