The Rangers are still undefeated in the MLB postseason. Texas edged its in-state rival Houston Astros 5-4 from Minute Maid Park to take a 2-0 lead in the ALCS.

Adolis Garcia, Mitch Garver and Nathaniel Lowe each tallied RBI singles as part of a four-run first inning. Jonah Heim blasted a solo shot in the third inning to give starter Nathan Eovaldi a comfortable lead. The righty mowed down nine Astros and surrendered three runs in six innings to claim his third win of the postseason.

Texas is a perfect 7-and-0 in the playoffs and will look to take a commanding, 3-0 series lead in Game Three on Wednesday in Arlington.

Framber Valdez suffered the loss for Houston after giving up four earned runs in two-and-two thirds innings of work.

Yordan Alvarez blasted a pair of solo homers and Alex Bregman also went yard with a solo shot.
