A gymnastics coach from Boerne has been sentenced to ten-years in prison for sexually abusing several young girls. Police arrested 74-year-old Michael Spiller last November for indecency with a child. Spiller abused children who attended his summer camp at the Boerne Gymnastics Center. After one girl reported Spiller to the police, several other victims spoke up about abuse as long ago as 2001. Spiller was sentenced on Thursday to four ten-year sentences for that will run concurrently. He must also register as a sex offender.
