American Soldier Released From North Korea To Be Checked Out At BAMC

The American soldier released from North Korea this week will be medically evaluated in San Antonio. U.S. authorities took custody of 23-year-old Travis King on Wednesday at the China-Korea border. King is being taken to Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston. The Army private was reportedly having disciplinary problems when he crossed the border between North and South Korea in July while on a bus tour of the Demilitarized Zone. Early Wednesday, North Korea abruptly announced its plans to expel King.
