Astros Swept By Royals At Home

The Astros were swept by the Royals at home. Houston fell to Kansas City 6-5 in the series finale at Minute Maid Park. Starting pitcher Hunter Brown was charged with his 13th loss after he let up six runs through three frames. Yordan Alvarez hit his 29th homer as Houston slipped to 85-and-71. The Astros are two-and-a-half games behind Texas for the AL West lead and are currently in the final AL Wild Card spot. They travel to face the Seattle Mariners tonight. Right-hander Justin Verlander is slated to take the mound for the series opener. He will start opposite Seattle righty Luis Castillo.
