Astros Lose Second Straight Game To A's

The Astros fell to the Athletics for the second straight day. Houston lost to Oakland 6-2 at Minute Maid Park. Starting pitcher Justin Verlander was charged his eighth loss after allowing five runs through seven innings. Jeremy Pena and Kyle Tucker both drove-in a run in the losing effort. The Astros remain atop the AL West at 82-and-64. They will send right-hander Hunter Brown to the hill for the series finale against Oakland tonight.
