The impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton continues today in Austin. Paxton has pleaded not guilty to the 16 charges against him. On Friday, Ryan Vassar testified that he and the other whistleblowers felt compelled to tell the FBI Paxton abused the power of his office to help a political donor. The Texas House impeached Paxton in May, and the Republican-led state Senate will decide whether to remove him from office. The trial is expected to last for weeks.
