Rangers Lose To Diamondbacks In Extra Innings

The Rangers failed to put an end to their losing streak. Texas lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 in 11 innings on the road at Chase Field. Adolis Garcia hit his 31st home run of the season in Texas' fifth straight loss. Jordan Montgomery recorded six strikeouts over eight scoreless frames before giving way to the bullpen. Will Smith was handed the loss and his fourth blown save after allowing three runs, two earned, in the bottom of the 11th. Texas remains atop the AL West at 72-and-53. Right-hander Jon Gray will start against Arizona tonight.
