Texas was swept at home by the San Diego Padres. The Rangers lost to the Padres 5-3 in the series finale at Petco Park. Marcus Semien drove in a pair of runs in the Rangers' third straight loss. Jose Leclerc was charged the loss after letting up two earned runs in less than an inning of relief. The Rangers remain atop the AL West at 60-and-46. They will return home to host the Chicago White Sox tomorrow night. In other news, the team placed starter Nathan Eovaldi on the 15-day injured list. He will be eligible to return to action on August 11th.
