The Rangers avoided a sweep with a big win over the Astros in Houston. Texas downed the defending champs 13-5 in their series finale at Minute Maid Park. Adolis Garcia, Sam Huff, Nathaniel Lowe and Marcus Semien all homered to help Texas snap its two-game losing skid. Andrew Heaney earned the win after five innings of work. The Rangers are atop the AL West at 60-and-43. Astros starter Framber Valdez was charged the loss after letting up six earned through three-and-two-thirds innings. Alex Bregman blasted his 17th home run of the year as Houston fell to 58-and-45. The Rangers head west to take on the San Diego Padres tomorrow, while the Astros remain home to host the Tampa Bay Rays.
