Mauricio Dubon belted a solo home run shot in the top of the ninth inning to propel the Houston Astros over the Oakland A's 3-2 in their series finale at the Oakland Coliseum. Hector Neris earned his sixth win of the season with one scoreless inning of relief, while Bryan Abreu recorded his third save. Yainer Diaz hit his 11th home run of the season as Houston improved to 56-and-44. Chad Smith was charged with the loss after letting up the game-winning run in just under two innings of work. JJ Bleday belted his eighth homer of the year and scored a pair of runs in the losing effort. Oakland is at the bottom of the AL West at 28-and-74.
