Astros Defeat Dodgers In Extra Innings To Avoid Sweep

The Astros prevailed over the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5 in 11 innings to avoid a three-game sweep at Dodger Stadium. Alex Bregman brought home the game-winning run with an RBI single in the top of the 11th. Jose Abreu and Jeremy Pena homered and drove-in a pair of runs to help Houston improve to 42-and-36. Ryan Pressly earned the win on the mound, while Seth Martinez notched his first career save. The Astros continue their road trip tomorrow night against the St. Louis Cardinals. Left-hander Framber Valdez is scheduled to start the series opener.
