An ammonia leak at a New Braunfels food production facility prompted an evacuation of employees and neighbors. The fire department says the leak happened at the food production facility of the New Braunfels Smokehouse on North Guenther Avenue. The local Hazmat Team responded to the scene. An evacuation was ordered within two-tenths of a mile of the facility, affecting about 115 people in nearby homes and businesses, along with the employees. There were no injuries reported.
