USAA is announcing the elimination of another 300 employees in its third round of layoffs this year. The San Antonio-based insurer is one of the city's biggest employees, with 19-thousand local workers as of last year. USA eliminated 130 jobs in February, most of them in the mortgage service department, and another 475 jobs in April. A spokesperson says the laid-off employees will be given help finding positions "inside and outside of" USAA. The company posted losses this month for the first time in its 100-year history.
