Another Texas Lake Now Fully Infested With Invasive Zebra Mussels

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says another lake is now designated as fully infested with invasive zebra mussels. Last month, the Army Corps of Engineers found just one mussel attached to a dam in Hords Creek Lake in Coleman County. The lake is now overrun. Boaters unintentionally play a major role in spreading the mussels to more lakes. Officials say zebra mussels have spread to nearly three-dozen Texas lakes. Medina Lake, Lake Placid, and Canyon Lake in the San Antonio area are all fully infested.
