The head of Homeland Security is headed to the Texas border one week before the end of Title-42. Alejandro Mayorkas will spend Thursday and Friday in South Texas, where he will meet with Border Patrol and local leaders. The trip is billed as a way to review the planning ahead of the lifting of the public health order, which has been used to expedite deportations.
