An American Airlines employee has died at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport after his ground service vehicle struck a jet bridge on the tarmac.
Austin police say it appears to have been an accident. "Vehicular Homicide is investigating. Right now this is being investigated as an accidental death," said Corporal Destiny Silva. "The airport operations were not impacted during this incident."
American Airlines released a statement saying their thoughts and prayers were with the family of the victim and their team members in Austin.
