SpaceX's starship prototype exploded four minutes into its flight. The ship was supposed to complete one full lap of Earth and reenter the atmosphere near Hawaii. This comes after SpaceX had to scrub a launch attempt on Monday after a pressure valve froze.

The spacecraft designed to send astronauts to the Moon, Mars and beyond.

Elon Musk later tweeted, "Congrats @SpaceX team on an exciting test launch of Starship! Learned a lot for next test launch in a few months." Musk had earlier tried to set expectations, saying whatever took place would help provide information that would make future launches successful.
