The Astros shutout the Pirates 7-0 in Pittsburgh to win the three-game series. Jose Urquidy was spectacular in his start and earned the win after giving up just two hits over six scoreless innings. The bullpen surrendered only one more hit over the final three innings. Alex Bregman crushed a three-run homer while Corey Julks slugged his first career home run. Jose Abreu and Kyle Tucker also drove in a run for Houston, which improved to 6-and-7 on the season. The Astros are third in the AL West. They return home to host the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park tomorrow night.
