Texas' Season Ends With Loss To Miami In Elite 8

The Longhorns impressive season came to an end in the Elite Eight. Second-seeded Texas lost to fifth-seeded Miami 88-81 in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns were outscored 51-to-36 in the second half after coming out of the halftime break with an eight-point lead. Marcus Carr paced Texas with 17 points and six assists, while Sir'Jabari Rice totaled 15 points off the bench. The Longhorns finished the season with a 29-and-9 record. 247 Sports is reporting that Texas has offered interim Rodney Terry the full-time head coaching job following the loss. Houston's season came to an end with an 89-75 loss to Miami last Friday. The Cougars ended the year 33-and-4.
