Former President Trump says the rule of law is a "tremendous threat to Western civilization." While speaking at a rally in Waco, Texas on Saturday, Trump said the biggest threat to America is "high level politicians that work in the United States government." He went on to list names like Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Matt Schumer, and President Biden as threats to democracy and said the Department of Justice is "poisoning" the country. The weekend rally comes as a grand jury in Manhattan considers whether Trump used campaign money for an alleged hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
