The Texas Longhorns are headed to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2008, after beating Xavier 83-71 in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Tyrese Hunter led the Longhorns with 19 points. Marcus Carr and Christian Bishop each added 18 points. Sir'Jabari Rice had 16 points and Timmy Allen had 11, to give Texas five players in double-figures.
Texas will play Sunday afternoon against Miami of Florida for a chance to go to the Final Four. Tipoff is set for 4:05.
