Mark Adams won't be returning as the basketball head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The University announced on Wednesday that Adams has stepped down from his position. Adams had been suspended by Texas Tech after he made a "racially insensitive" comment during an individual coaching session with a player. The 66-year-old Adams apologized to the team and Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt later said the comment was unintentional and an isolated incident.
