Narcan To Be Made Available On Every NEISD Campus

North East ISD officials say Narcan or Naloxone will soon be available at every campus in the district. The meds are usually administered in the form of a nasal spray, and reverse the effects of an overdose of fentanyl or an opioid-related drug. The NEISD Board of Trustees voted on Monday night to make the medications available at every school. North East Police Department officers will also carry the medication with them. The UT-Health San Antonio School of Nursing will make the meds available to NEISD at no cost.
