A new affordable housing community is under construction on the South Side. The city of San Antonio and its partners had a groundbreaking on Monday for Los Arcos at Vida, a 600-acre development on South Zarzamora near the South 410 Loop. Los Arcos will be a 324-unit community of single-family homes and duplexes. It's the first of 14 major housing projects to be funded by the city's voter-approved 2022 housing bond program. Homes at Los Arcos are expected to be available to lease by sometime next year.
