Police are investigating the shooting death of a man who forced his way into a couple's motel room and the refused to leave. Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to the reported shooting at a motel on I-10 East near Houston Street. A 28-year-old man reportedly entered the couple's room uninvited. The girlfriend told officers the man had been stalking her and she'd been trying to get a restraining order against him. When the man refused to leave, the 23-year-old boyfriend shot and killed him. No word about charges.
