Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida says his state and Texas are making common cause in the battle against the political left. DeSantis spoke to Houston-area Republicans on Friday at the annual Harris County Lincoln Reagan Dinner. The occasion was the first part of a two-day Texas visit that also included a similar event on Saturday for the Dallas County GOP. DeSantis is traveling more outside Florida lately ahead of an expected bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
