The man accused of killing 23 people at an El Paso Walmart in 2019 will not face the death penalty in his federal trial. The U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of Texas says they will not seek to execute Patrick Crusius, who faces charges including 22 counts of hate crime resulting in death. Crusius allegedly posted a manifesto before the shooting targeting Hispanics and using white supremacist ideologies. The federal trial is scheduled to begin on January Eighth next year.
