A new poll says Texas Republicans support Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as the GOP presidential nominee in 2024 over former President Donald Trump. The poll was commissioned by the Republican Party of Texas, and asked respondents which of six possible Republican candidates would get their vote. DeSantis was the choice of 43-percent of the respondents. Trump came in second at 32-percent. DeSantis's support rose to 66-percent should Trump decide not to run in 2024. Trump is expected to announce his candidacy tonight, but many of the candidates he endorsed in last week's midterm elections didn't do well.
