New York plans to follow in California's footsteps by requiring all new vehicles sold in the state by 2035 to be electric or hybrids.
Governor Kathy Hochul said she had a state environmental agency put together rules adopting California's plan to phase out new gasoline-only car sales.
It'll hold a hearing before finalizing the rules.
