Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says the focus is now on getting those stranded by Ian to safety.
Speaking just north of Fort Myers, DeSantis said tons of supplies are arriving in southwest Florida and tons more food and water is on the way.
The Governor said he's thankful for everyone donating to help those impacted by Ian.
DeSantis said he's impressed with how the residents of Florida's Gulf Coast have responded to this situation and noted this is just the start of the recovery process.
