Governor Greg Abbott and his Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke will have their one debate of the race on Friday. The debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg. Abbott has said the debate is the only one he'll participate in before the November election. O'Rourke is expressing an interest in more debates. Abbott is running for a third term. O'Rourke has also mounted unsuccessful campaigns for the U.S. Senate and the White House.
