National Railway Strike Averted After 11th Hour Agreement Is Reached

President Biden is cheering the tentative deal averting a national railroad strike, calling it a "big win for America." 

Biden and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh helped broker the agreement. 

Speaking in the Rose Garden, the President also said it's a win for rail workers with better pay and improved working conditions. 

The labor dispute involved freight rail companies and unions and could have led to huge economic disruptions during this time of high inflation.
