Rangers Drop Series Opener To Red Sox

The Rangers came up short in their road series opener. Texas fell 9-8 to the Red Sox in Boston. The Rangers weren't able to hold on after taking an 8-3 lead in the eighth inning and Boston walked it off in the ninth. Jonathan Hernandez took the loss in relief for Texas, which fell to 58-and-72. Adolis Garcia homered for the Rangers, who have lost five straight. Texas sends left-hander Dallas Keuchel to the mound tonight.
