West Nile Virus Found In San Antonio

Metro Health officials are reporting that a San Antonio mosquito pool recently tested positive for the West Nile virus. The infected mosquitoes were collected three weeks ago from a trap on the city's Northeast Side, in the area of O'Connor and Nacogdoches Road. Lab results were confirmed on Tuesday of this week. Metro Health's Vector Control team has treated the nearby areas. Recent rainfall may lead to more hatching of mosquito eggs.
