The Justice Department is filing a motion to unseal a search warrant and property receipt related to the FBI raid of former President Trump's south Florida home.
Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed that he personally approved the decision to seek the warrant, which he emphasized the DOJ doesn't take lightly.
He noted all Americans, including former Presidents, are subject to the same laws.
Garland also addressed "attacks on the Justice Department agents and prosecutors" after the Palm Beach raid and an attempted breach of an FBI field office in Cincinnati. He praised DOJ employees as "dedicated, patriotic public servants."
