After a weekend that saw thousands of flight cancellations and delays, U.S. airlines showed no signs of recovery on Monday as even more flights were pulled from the schedule.

As of late Monday morning, more than 200 flights in the U.S. had been cancelled and at least 760 had been delayed, according to FlightAware.

Among the affected airports were Chicago's O'Hare, which pulled the plug on 12 percent of its flights, and Newark's Liberty, which called off 5 percent of its flights, per FlightAware.

More flights are likely to be cancelled or delayed before Monday comes to an end, according to FlightAware officials.
