The economy is going through a transition period, but the U.S. is not in a recession. So said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
She also applauded the latest monthly jobs report. The U.S. economy added 528,000 jobs in July and unemployment ticked-down to 3.5 percent.
