Mexico Pledges $1.5 Billion Investment In Border Infrastructure

Mexico is agreeing to a $1.5 billion investment in technology at its border with the U.S. A joint statement released by the White House says the effort will improve efficiency and security at the border. It added that the effort seeks to "align priorities, unite border communities, and make the flow of commerce and people more secure and efficient." President Biden and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador had what appeared to be a friendly meeting Tuesday, despite López Obrador criticizing the U.S. publicly in the past.
