The Governor has signed a new law in California allowing people to file lawsuits against companies that make guns.
Assembly Bill 1594, now signed by Governor Gavin Newsom, allows the State Attorney General, County District Attorneys, City Attorneys, and private citizens to file lawsuits against gun manufacturers.
The law goes into effect on July 1st of next year.
