Astros Take Out Rangers

The Astros kept the Rangers at bay during a 5-1 win in Houston. Aledmys Diaz and Kyle Tucker each drove in a run in the bottom of the first to take a one-run lead before Martin Maldonado broke the game open with a three-run double in the bottom of the eighth. Jose Altuve stroked four hits in the victory, and Framber Valdez gave up one runs over seven innings to pick up the win. Houston has won two of its last three. Glenn Otto was tagged with the loss after giving up two runs in six innings. The loss snaps the Rangers' four-game winning streak.
