The new police contract has the approval of the San Antonio City Council. Council members voted eight-three in favor of the five-year plan on Thursday. The agreement includes higher pay and changes to discipline policies. Opponents of the contract think it didn't go far enough. The San Antonio Police Officers Association approved of the contract last month.
