The Speaker of the House is slamming Republicans following the leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion signaling the end of abortion rights.
In a letter to fellow Democrats, Nancy Pelosi accused Republicans of aiming to criminalize abortion nationwide, including charging women with murder. She said Democrats must remain "disciplined and focused in sharing with the American people the dangers of the Republican Agenda."
Pelosi argued Republicans are already plotting "draconian measures" that could "criminalize contraceptive care, in-vitro fertilization and post-miscarriage care." She accused Republicans of aiming to drag the U.S. "back to a dark time, decades into the past."
