A Bexar County deputy is recovering in the hospital after an 18-wheeler hit his motorcycle as he escorted a funeral procession. The accident happened before noon on Thursday at Somerset and Old Somerset Road. The deputy was guiding the funeral procession when an 18-wheeler reportedly rear-ended his motorcycle and knocked him into a guardrail. The deputy suffered a broken leg, a broken ankle, rib fractures, and some road rash.
