Commercial traffic is once again on the move across a couple of border bridges in El Paso. Governor Greg Abbott met with Chihuahua state governor Maria Campos in Austin to work out a deal to clear up a slowdown in cross-border traffic following Abbott's order increasing state inspections of trucks. Abbott and Campos announced the agreement in a news conference on Thursday evening. Campos said Chihuahua will collaborate with the Department of Public Safety, and Abbott said state troopers will return to random inspections at the bridges.
