The Austin Police Department is reporting the arrest of a suspect after four people were shot early Sunday morning. It happened around 2 a.m. and the four victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say it appears the shooting started as a disturbance between two groups of people.
Austin has been working to make the Sixth Street Entertainment District safer after a shooting last year where one person died and 14 were injured. Extra officers were assigned to be on patrol in the district.
